Milwillah Angus has a very special addition to their On-Property Bull Sale on Wednesday August 25 2010 at “Clover Hill”, Berthong Rd, Young NSW.

For the first time the stud will auction off Lot 7 Milwillah Pure Determination – Kiss the Frog D77, from which all the proceeds will go directly to the Kiss the Frog Foundation.

John Caldwell of Milwillah Angus explains that Kiss the Frog was founded by a great friend of his children, Joshua Clift. “In 2008 Josh was involved in two serious accidents that changed his life forever,” John said.

In July of that year Josh broke his neck playing rugby, after surgery he miraculously recovered only to be involved in a serious car accident in September where he broke his neck again. Josh was extremely lucky to survive however he is now an incomplete quadriplegic and has lost all movement from the chest down.

His spinal cord was not severed but badly bruised and in a lot of shock. Josh was given a two year period to recover from the accident. The amount of movement he will regain was and still is unknown.

To give himself the best possible chance to walk again, Joshua, in April 2009, applied and was accepted into the Shepherd Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. Offering state-of-the-art technology and highly skilled and dedicated staff, it is one of the world’s best spinal rehabilitation centres.

“It was an opportunity not to be passed up,” John said. “But the on-going physical, emotional and financial toll that is felt by Joshua and the Clift family, no-one will ever fully comprehend.”

The Kiss the Frog Foundation has been established to raise much needed funds to support and assist Joshua with his medical rehabilitation, equipment and services that are paramount in achieving a successful recovery and independence.

Milwillah Pure Determination – Kiss the Frog D77 is named after the pure guts and determination that Josh has shown in his quest to walk again. Even when he’s been given so many reasons to quit, Josh has done the opposite.
So why kiss the Frog? Joshua’s answer says it all.

“It is pretty simple, what I am chasing is a fairytale and I am not after a Prince Charming, but to walk again I would kiss a thousand frogs. By supporting my foundation in whatever way you can you will have kissed a frog, and become part of my fairytale.”

“He is a true inspiration to us all and Milwillah Angus is proud to have become a small part in Josh’s fairytale,” John finished.
