On Friday Kate organised an unforgettably adventure by getting two tickets to the scissor sisters for her and I. The concert was held at the Tabernacle which is an old cathedral in downtown Atlanta and the perfect place to hold a concert. It is an establishment that just oozes character with its own distinct style, hosting massive stain glass windows and a charming upstairs galley with private balconies. For those unsure of who the Scissor sisters are they can best be describe as a modern version of Wham playing upbeat disco classics that the gay community adore. So sitting front row and watching the lead singer decked out in one of the best latex dash leather outfits I have seen it was certainly a laugh. But with that all said and done it was one of the best concert performances I have ever seen live.
In return for such an amazing night I organised some tickets to the Hawks verse the Boston Celtics who at this stage were one of the favourites to win the comp. We were both pretty pumped and when the hawks hit the lead halfway through the sell out crowd really erupted and came to life. Which in turn got the Hawks a new number 1 fan, as Kate I think was just blown away by the experience and full on American sport can be. It was a nail biting finish and came down to the fourth quarter but the boys put it away in what was a great game and a big upset.
